Hi there, thank you so much for visiting my blog!
So I guess the reason you’re on this page is because you want to know who I am, Ha! Yea you and me both. LOL
Pushing 50 and I’m still trying to figure out who I’m going to be when I grow up. I suppose in a way this blog is helping me figure that out.
I cook, I bake, I knit.
Half of my, ahem, kids have four legs and fur, the other half are bipeds: two canines, two felines, two stepsons, two daughters-in-law. I guess we like even numbers.
I learned to knit in about 2006 (at my husband’s suggestion), had a bit of a false start then picked it up again and will never look back. If I find myself in the passenger seat of a car there will be knitting in my hands. My mother-in-law has been a great source of support and inspiration. We even went up to Rhinebeck together along with a friend of hers: girl’s only weekend!
As for cooking and baking, yea I was a late bloomer there. I was much happier reading or tinkering with stuff with my dad. The exception to this was holiday time. Perhaps it was the enormity of the task set before my mom or the ritual of both the preparation and the symbolism of the food items, I’m not really sure but the Jewish holidays were the one time a year (okay, and Thanksgiving) that you would find me in the kitchen. Now, you can’t get me out!
He is my soul mate and my best friend; he is my enabler (and I am his), my support system and the love of my life. You know those couples who really do enjoy always being together…that’s us.
