Silk Fountain Hood Blocking

So I finished this cowl a while ago now and had the pictures ready to go and had the post, mostly, written and for one reason or another I never managed to post it. And considering how much I enjoyed this project, you’d think I would have jumped to get it posted asap…go figure.

Anyway, I have to say this is probably one of my favorite knits yet. I love the pattern, I love the yarn, I love the color. It looks fabulous worn as a cowl or as a hood. It was a quick knit and easy to memorize. It’s also a good knit-in-the-car-project…something I really like to do.

The pattern is the “Silk Fountain Hood” by Beth Hood, which you can find in the book “Luxury One-Skein Wonders”. Did you ever just get drawn to a pattern, felt like you just had to drop everything and start knitting it now! That’s kinda what came over me when I saw this pattern. But of course I had to find just the right yarn and Madeline Tosh Pashmina in the Fathom colorway was it. If you haven’t knit with this yarn yet what are you waiting for, it’s a dream and the colors are off the hook beautiful.

And now that we are finally having December weather here on Long Island, I can actually enjoy wearing it!
